I can’t recommend this place enough to stay if you’re visiting Key West. The rooms were all suites centered around a great pool but the location of the resort was incredible. Walking distance to everywhere you want to visit in Key West. The staff was incredible and we couldn’t have had a better time staying here

We had a great experience at the Santa Maria Suites Resort! The resort is conveniently situated near great restaurants like Banana Cafe and the Seaside Cafe at the Southernmost Mansion, with easy street parking nearby to help you get settled, as well as a hotel parking lot (although we did not use it because it is expensive). The hotel features two pools, with lounge chairs surrounding them. There are always some lounge chairs to go around. Our room was up a flight of stairs and was very well-appointed: we were upgraded from queen to king beds and we enjoyed the ice cream bars that our room was restocked with each day. The room was clean and featured a fridge, freezer, microwave, and oven. The rooms all had fans that could be controlled with switches to modulate their speeds. There was also a restaurant at the hotel, Onlywood. We didn't try it, but it looked nice. There is bike parking at the back of the hotel parking lot. The pool also has free frozen drinks and chips, (strawberry-mango slush and frozen lemonade) and you have access to the beach at the hotel next door (although when we were there, it was covered with seaweed). Overall, although it is on the higher end price-wise, I would definitely recommend Santa Maria Suites for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing Key West experience!

2 Couples, One Room.... Santa Maria Was a Hidden Gem. Our trip took 25 yrs. to plan: A quick trip to celebrate 25 yrs. of marriage. Santa Maria turned out to be exactly the kind of find you hope for when you pivot locations. Location is unbeatable. $8 from the airport. Everything is walkable, so It doesn't get more dialed in than that. The staff made it. The woman at the front desk was genuinely fantastic; warm, helpful, and on it. Cleaning staff were the same way: whatever you needed, whenever you needed it. No fuss, no waiting. Room 15 was our home base; two king beds (in separate rooms), a full kitchen, living room, and a balcony that we basically lived on. The beds deserve their own mention: honestly the best vacation sleep any of us can remember. The shower pressure was strong (a small thing that matters more than people admit), and the WiFi actually worked like WiFi should. The pool area never felt crowded; plenty of space and seating, which is rarer than it should be. The bar was a nice bonus; free wine from 4–6 with small bites. A great way to decompress before dinner. We did buy some drinks but they didn't mind us bringing our own. And the neighborhood? Right across the street, Anna's Café is a straight 5 star for coffee and lunch. Diagonal from that, the Tipsy Rooster for drinks; also 5 stars.

We just completed our fourth stay. We've always stayed with kids. The rooms are very nice and we really appreciate the space. They are in a great location to move around Key West.
